The holding of the appointment of Senior Coach is a prerequisite to progressing to the grade of Staff Coach.

Again there is no formal syllabus; this grade is awarded only to those who have considerable coaching and instructional experience

Staff coaches are considered capable of running all levels of BWLA courses, setting and assessing examination requirements both written and practical

Further written work is normally required in the form of a thesis on a topic agreed with the BWLA Director of Coaching
